About Me

I was born in Switzerland to an Irish father and Maltese mother.

My parents worked at the United Nations and the Red Cross and I grew up in an international environment. I was educated at the International School of Geneva.

Not really sharing my parents' roots, I have always struggled to define my nationality. I see myself as an international person, capable of being around and working with people from a variety of backgrounds.

I have a BA in Media and Communication and as I have a strong passion for writing, I was attracted to studying journalism.

I am currently completing an MA Journalism program, which has again placed me in the company of people from many different nations.

My MA course has presented me with many challenges and has allowed me to become skilled in a number of facets of journalism.

Most importantly it has given me confidence in my ability, especially my writing, something that I did not have before.
